Former Marjorie Deane studentship holder wins a Gerald Loeb Award

The prestigious Gerald Loeb Awards for distinguished business and financial journalism were announced last night and a former Marjorie Deane studentship holder who studied on New York University’s MA programme in Business and Economic Reporting was a winner.

Charles Rollet, who graduated just last month from the MA programme in Business and Economic Reporting, won in the International category as a member of a Wall Street Journal team writing on “China’s Surveillance State”.

Charles was a recipient of a Marjorie Deane Fellowship during his studies at New York University. The fellowships make it possible for talented journalists like Charles to study business journalism and get opportunities such as he had at the Wall Street Journal.

The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation sends its congratulations to Charles.
