Livia Gallarati joins The Economist as a Marjorie Deane intern

Livia Gallarati recently joined The Economist as a Marjorie Deane intern in the New York bureau.

Thanks to the Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation I am one step closer to my dream of becoming a journalist. Working at The Economist is allowing me to meet key industry figures, participate in thought-provoking conversations and analyse global events. Before joining the editorial team in New York, I was interning at the International Energy Agency, the world’s energy watchdog. Currently I am completing a Master’s degree in International Energy from Sciences Po in Paris (where I will return after my stint at The Economist) and I hold a BA in Journalism, Media, and Cultural Studies from Cardiff University. Keep an eye out for my stories about the energy sector!
