City’s MA financial journalism course covers British budget

On October 29th, City University of London’s MA financial journalism course covered Britain’s budget, delivered that day in Parliament by Philip Hammond, the chancellor of the exchequer.

This year’s cohort on the course included students not just from Britain, but from as far afield as Argentina, Turkey and Singapore, and the exercise provided them with their first taste of British politics and fiscal policy.

The exercise involved the writing and assembly of a short print newspaper on the budget, as well as practice news reports in City’s on-site television and radio studios.
