Calling all current and former students and interns of the Foundation, The Economist is looking to hire a Britain economics writer, based in London.
The Economist is looking to hire a Britain economics writer, based in London. Journalistic experience is not necessary. The ability to write clearly and entertainingly is crucial. So is a thorough understanding of economics and an ability to work with data.
The writer will be responsible for coverage of economics in the Britain section, including monetary policy, fiscal policy, labour markets, trade and regulation. There will be the occasional opportunity to write Free Exchange, the weekly economics column in the Finance & economics section. The writer will appear on podcasts and films and at Economist events, and will collaborate with other writers on the Britain desk and in the economics team.
More details about the vacancy and how to apply can be found on The Economist‘s website here.
