The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation aims to promote excellence in financial journalism. It was set up in 1998 by Marjorie Deane.
The foundation offers internships at The Economist and the Financial Times, and many former interns go on to successful careers in journalism at media outlets around the world. Students are sponsored to study for Master’s degrees in finance or economics at prominent British education institutions. The foundation also supports a professorship, the Marjorie Deane Professor of Financial Journalism at City, University of London.
