Last year, Henry Mance was one of the inaugural Marjorie Deane interns at the Financial Times in London, where he wrote for the beyondbrics blog. He is now a senior correspondent at Brazil Confidential, a new, premium subscription service from the FT. Of his time as an intern, Henry says:

“The internship is a great opportunity to learn and contribute. As an intern, you have the chance to shape part of the news agenda—flying from issue to issue, mixing deliberation and speed. I nearly fainted at my first sight of a market report; thanks to the internship, I´ve come a fair way since.”
