Applications are invited for studentships at a prominent British university or business school leading to a Master´s degree in finance or economics. A successful candidate, who must have been accepted for such a course, will have some or all of his/her fees paid and will also receive a contribution towards living expenses.
The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation aims to promote the understanding of financial markets and institutions, and in particular to foster excellence in financial journalism. Preference will therefore be given to applicants who can write well and who will produce a piece of research (probably based on their dissertation) that is suitable for publication.
Candidates should send a CV, a proposed research topic and proof of entry to a Master´s degree programme.
Studentships are open to all, regardless of age, sex, etc. Applications can be made online here. The closing date for applications is Friday, May 20th 2011.
