Sophia Caldera recently joined The Economist’s New York bureau as an intern supported by the Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation.
She writes:
“It is a privilege to be writing for The Economist, and I am grateful to the Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation for making this experience possible. After graduating from Harvard University with a degree in philosophy and molecular biology, I spent the past year assisting a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. As a college parliamentary debater, I was the US national champion and speaker of the year.”
