City, University of London’s MA Financial Journalism is once again being taught face-to-face after the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since the programme kicked off in September last year, lectures, workshops and seminars have been held on City’s campus in central London.
Like other universities in the UK, City programmes in the 2020/21 academic year were delivered mostly online. The high level of infections in the community, coupled with social distancing rules in the UK, had made face-to-face teaching impractical.
For 2021/22, however, most core modules and electives on the MA Financial Journalism have returned to the classroom.
As usual, students on this year’s programme represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. The majority have travelled from outside the UK to attend the course, and countries represented include Kenya, Switzerland, Thailand, India and Pakistan.
City is committed to ensuring the campus is a safe environment. It encourages all members of its community to receive vaccinations, take regular covid-19 tests and observe social distancing recommendations.
